ORDER PROCESS
To place an order follow the instructions provided. Please leave a note if you have any questions about your order.
Once you have placed an order, you will automatically receive a confirmation email. You will receive a further email once your order has been dispatched. It is the customer's responsibility to provide correct details and address at checkout. You must also ensure your email is in working order and able to receive communications or contact in the event of any issues.
Please note: if you believe you entered your details incorrectly, please contact us immediately to resolve the issue, before items are sent.
Full payment must be received before order can be accepted and processed by website. Accepting the order establishes a contract between the customer and Harestanes Glass Studio, to provide you with the physical item, gift voucher (either physical or digital) or a workshop booking as described in the product description.
Harestanes Glass Studio reserves the right to cancel orders if they violate security or policies.
PAYMENT & PRICES
All card payments made via our website are made in GB Pounds £ and are securely handled by our payment provider Stripe, and are are fully compliant with payment card industry data security standards (PCI DSS).
It is possible to pay using any of the following: Apple Pay, Android Pay, Visa Credit, Visa Debit and Electron, MasterCard.
We reserve the right to alter prices of products or workshops on our website at any time without notice. We will endeavour to honour workshop gift vouchers purchased prior to any price changes.
CANCELLING AN ORDER
If you wish to cancel your order after checkout, please contact us immediately.
DISCLOSURE
We try to ensure all of our product descriptions give a clear representation of every product, and include product sizes/dimensions. We also try to ensure that all photographs are a clear representation, and include different angles, and often include an item to give viewer an idea of the products scale/size.
However due to the reflective nature of glass, and the colour changing properties of Dichroic glass jewellery, colours may vary slightly from the images displayed on the website. Please note that variations in colour can also be caused by different phone screens or computer screens resolution and brightness settings.

Unfortunately we may not be able to refund custom personalised orders, as the design had been approved by you prior to manufacture, and as it is a personalised it may not be resaleable and may not be eligible for a refund. Please contact us direct if you are unhappy with a custom order so that this issue can be addressed and a resolution found.
We are unable to refund or replace items that have been damaged due to misuse, accidents or neglect.

WORKSHOP CANCELLATIOn
TO CANCEL A WORKSHOP
If you are unable to attend a planned workshop, please contact us via email [email protected] or telephone 01835 830451 as soon as possible.
• If you cancel more than 7 days before the scheduled workshop you will have the choice of a refund or to reschedule the workshop date.
• If you cancel within 7 days before the scheduled class, a refund cannot be given however you can either schedule an alternative date for your workshop or opt for a Gift Voucher instead (our vouchers do not have an expiry date and can be used towards any of our workshops or goods we sell in our studio).
• If bad weather such as Winter conditions like snow and ice make it unsafe to travel, please contact us as soon as possible via email [email protected] and you will have the option for either a full refund or the option to reschedule the date of your class.
• If we have to cancel the class due to illness we will let you know as soon as possible and offer either a full refund or the option to reschedule the date of your class.

HEALTH & SAFETY
WORKSHOP SAFETY EQUIPMENT
We provide all tools, equipment and protective clothing for our workshops. Every effort is made to ensure your safety and comfort during our workshops. Full list of safety equipment provided is listed on workshop pages.
HEALTH & SAFETY
• Harestanes Glass Studio accepts no liability for physical injury of any kind, upon booking onto a workshop you accept the potential risks and dangers involved with glass cutting and soldering (stained glass) and that you are choosing to participate at your own risk.
• Protective safety equipment and clothing as well as safe workshop practice should be followed to prevent and mitigate any potential dangers. First aid kit is fully stocked and available in any instance such as cuts, scrapes or burns.
• You may be in a class situation with other individuals depending on class booking numbers, please be considerate to other class participants. You are expected to be sensible and courteous. Any person deemed to be behaving inappropriately or irresponsibly will be asked to leave immediately. No refund will be given in this instance.
• A coat rack has been provided for you to safely store any coats or bags to prevent tripping hazards. Harestanes Glass Studio accepts no liability for loss or damage to personal belongings. They are stored at your own risk.
• Suitable clothing must be worn, preferably long sleeves and no cropped tops.
• Sensible footwear must be worn, no open-toed shoes, sandals or flip-flops will be allowed in the workshop.
We reserve the right to ask the student to leave the workshop if unsuitable clothing or footwear is worn. No refund will be given in this instance.
• Unfortunately we cannot allow any dogs to accompany you on workshop, cutting glass can create sharp splinters that often fall to the floor making it dangerous.
• Please note we have a log burning stove. We have a fire guard and signage, and we ask students to please keep a safe distance and to remember that the stove is hot to the touch.
• Only sealable bottles of water or juice can be kept on table. Open glasses or cups are too dangerous due to chemicals or shards of glass. Breaks can be taken at any time during workshop to eat or drink, and light refreshments such as tea/coffee are provided during breaks.
HEALTH & SAFETY - STAINED GLASS
• As the Stained Glass workshops use sharp glass, chemicals such as flux and patina as well as lead. It is NOT suitable if you are pregnant or breast feeding.
• Long hair must be tied up when using machines such as the glass grinder or soldering irons on our Stained Glass workshops.
• The Leaded Panel workshop is an intensive full day workshop requires standing/sitting for long periods of time, and requires hand strength to stretch and shape the lead.
• The Leaded Panel workshop is traditional stained glass and we use Tallow sticks for soldering, please contact us before the workshop if you are vegetarian/vegan to allow us to provide you with an alternative flux.
• Warm water and soap is provided for hand washing after handling chemicals or lead. It is essential to thoroughly wash hands after handling lead came or lead solder before eating/drinking. Disposable gloves are provided however it is advised to wash hands also.
HEALTH & SAFETY - FOR CHILDREN
• Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
• There is no glass cutting for children under 12 years old, glass is either pre-cut or safe alternative glass products are used.
• Stained glass is unsuitable for children under the age of 16 due to the use of a high-speed electric glass grinder and hot soldering iron.
• We are unable to book parties or groups of Children larger than 8 people due to health and safety. Groups of 8 kids will require at least 1 parent or supervising adult.
• Creative kid group workshops are suitable for Children aged 5 upwards. They are not suitable for kids under 5.
• Christmas workshops are available to book for Children aged 5 upwards. They are not suitable for kids under 5.
• Only sealable bottles of water or juice can be kept on table. Open glasses or cups are too dangerous. Breaks can be taken at any time during the workshop to safely eat or drink.
• Children must be sensible in the glass studio, we cannot allow running or rowdy behaviour in the workshop or gallery area due to the risk of injury and broken glass. Any inappropriate or irresponsible behaviour will be addressed and continued behaviour will result in the person being asked to leave or for the workshop to be cancelled due to health & safety concerns. No refund will be given in this instance.
