Violence against women award 2019

It was an honour to produce the award for Violence Against Women (VAW) partnership Award 2019, for Scottish Borders Rape Crisis Centre.

​It was important for the award to have meaning in accordance with VAW and SBRC ethos. The colours were chosen not only for their historical reference to the Suffragettes, but also for the symbolic meanings related to them.
 
PURPLE was chosen for compassion, understanding, support and empathy.
GREEN selected for creativity, growth, rebirth, harmony and life.

The number of dots used in the design also had symbolic meaning to us.

The number 3 used to represent unity, kindness, joy, growth and inspiration.
The number 5 to represent strength, adaptability, independence and understanding.
