The tomato room

A very unusual commission from a lovely couple who wanted a mobile made for their son who has a 'Tomato Room' greenhouse attached to his home.

I spent a some time looking at tomato's and came up with a design showcases the different stages of the plant as well different types of tomato's.

The mobile is created using thick wire and has so much movement, and the tomato's themselves have copperfoil overlay to create the leaves, hammered copper wire for the stems and hand painted details.

I'm so happy with how it turned out, and I think I see more mobile hangings being made in the near future.
